HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Hey y’all, I’m Mandy! I have always loved to bake. I remember following my grandmother around in her kitchen in Six Mile, SC, where she moved seamlessly. Naturally, she instilled a love of cooking and baking in me. I was a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids in the early 2000s & loved to have banana bread or cookies waiting for them when they came in from school. I was always the room mom and took in cookies and other baked goods for their events. If my house was filled with a team of hungry soccer players, you bet they had cookies in their hands.
I reinvested my time into cookie decorating back in 2016 while further building my career as a realtor. It was a nice gift to give to clients or other realtors for closings, and soon word of my cookies started to spread. I began taking orders for custom cookies of all themes and occasions! I then officially began Mandy’s Cookies on Keowee, my home-based custom cookie company located in Seneca, SC.
Before I knew it, my daughter, Michaela (just call her Kayla!), was my partner-in-cookie-crime. She graduated in May 2020 with her Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University, and again in August 2022 with her M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering. One day she will be designing custom medical devices, but for now, she is making custom cookie stencils, 3D-printing custom cookie cutters, and helping make your custom cookie dreams come true.
Since teaming up, our cookies have made it onto ESPN and WYFF-4, and have been hosted at numerous craft shows and a wedding expo. Our favorite claims to fame are the famous Clemson Tigers that enjoyed our cookies. Dabo Swinney enjoyed our Clemson themed cookies before the 2018 National Football Championship game. We were lucky enough to make cookies for the engagement party of Trevor Lawrence and Marissa Mowry. We’ve made many cookies for Tajh Boyd’s family, and some custom ones for C.J. Spiller and his wife, Daysha. Even the ESPN camera crew has enjoyed our ROY bus cookies behind the scenes in Death Valley.
While we are still floored that our cookies have been enjoyed by the most famous of tigers, we love that we have met so many new clients and help make each and every one of your occasions sweeter!
Since we have expanded our customer base and capabilities over the last several years so successfully, we have decided more recently to expand our team at Mandy’s Cookies on Keowee as well. While Kayla is anticipating moving onto her career shortly, we have welcomed our friend Kelly with open arms. Kelly previously owned her own custom cookie bakery in the Memphis, TN area and recently relocated to Lake Hartwell. She has decided to join us on this journey and jump back into the cookie world!
Our sugar cookies come in many flavors and can be completely customized. Whether you are graduating, getting married, having a baby, or celebrating a birthday, we can put together the perfect set for you. We can 3D-print our own cutters and design and cut our own stencils, which has helped to expedite the design process and allow us to create a wider variety of designs.
In addition to custom decorated cookies, we make a variety of drop cookies, chocolate dipped treats and other baked goods. You can even put together a custom treat box with a variety of our homemade goods. Our cookie cakes and brookie cakes make the perfect birthday gift and can be customized by adding any cookies of your choice!
